Thursday 13

Thirteen Questions that Super Z Asked On the Way To School
  1. How does air come out of a balloon?
  2. Will the air still come out if you tape up the balloon?
  3. If you let a red balloon go would it go into space?
  4. Can we let a balloon go and drive behind it in our car?
  5. Can a duck go all the way under water?
  6. Why do ducks float?
  7. What would happen if a duck had no feathers?
  8. Do babies have dreams?
  9. Do old people have dreams?
  10. How do you know?
  11. Do you want to buy my Dad a pick-up truck for Christmas?
  12. Can you drive a truck?
  13. Do you think a truck would float?

I kid you not. All this morning. It takes 10 minutes to get to the school. The funny part is that this isn't even all of them...

LOL - kids are so funny. Apparently, the average four year old asks more than 400 questions a day. Happy TT!

That question about the red balloon immediately made me think of that song by Nena called 99 Red Balloons. Do you think all 99 of them go into space?

I had a customer asking me so many questions (not even of the intelligence of Super Z's) the other day that I had to say "Why does the sun shine somedays and it rain on others?". She didn't think I was very funny.

The usual reply is "Ask your father."

Oh my, I forgot how they ask a million questions. My head is swimming now. How cute though. Have a great TT Serina. :)

I can't help wondering what a 5-year-old's definition of "old people" is. People over 20 perhaps?

1. The air is moving around really fast inside (even though you can't see it). When some of the air pieces flys towards the hole, it flys out because the hole is there!

2. Nope. The air would hit the tape and bounce back, just like it does against the rest of the balloon.

3. Nope. Eventually the air bouncing around on the *outside* of the balloon would get so weak that the air bouncing around on the inside could punch right through, and the balloon would pop.

4. Yes, for a while. The balloon could go places where the car couldn't, though.

5. Yep.

6. When they sit in the water, their bodies push some of the water aside. In fact, they push aside the same amount of water as they weigh. So, they float because they aren't heavy enough to push aside any more water!

7. We would eat it. Yum!

8. Yep.

9. Yep.

10. We use a machine that watches their brain for the signs of dreaming. Plus, the old people tell us.

11. Yes and no.

12. Yes.

13. Nope, not for long.

...surprise!

That's hilarious and I know exactly how you feel! The way I look at it is they're learning.

This is so cute and reminds me how much learning is innate.
