How I Felt About Worst Case Scenario

He-he, this pic is so funny. Princess H's face here perfectly captures how I felt about last night and today.

Worst Case Scenario

Well, It turned out to be the worst case scenario. I am glad to say that I lived through that horror. With lots of hard work ( and a lot of great people pitching in...again) I was able to get the whole project completed by month end closing. And yes, I was home before the sun went down. I was home by 5:45 to be exact. And I seem to still be alive. I can hear my step-son Tyler bickering with his friend, I can see the chocolate milk that Zane just spilled on the floor, and I can smell the chicken that Randy is baking ( and it is making me really hungry...yummm). So yes, all signs definitely point to life. Thank God that the horror of month end emergencies and system errors has passed...for now.

So Whooped

I worked 14 hours straight today. Vacation is officially over. Yet another example of how there can be no light without darkness...
So here is the bad part, from 5:30 to 10:30 I was doing work that wasn't processing. Unfortunately I didn't realize that until 10:30. Best case scenario: tech guy can push a button and everything slides through. Worse case scenario: I have to reverse each item, reverse the split ( this means nothing to you fearless reader), redo the split ( again nothing), and redo each of the 34 items. All told that would be at least another 5 hours of work. And please note that it will only be 5 hours if I have the same 5 people helping me with the project that I did today. Lord, I could cry. Let's pray for scenario 1.
So I am tired, and slightly worried.
Princess H was already asleep when I got home, but Super Z would not go down without a goodnight. So I got to hold him a bit and tell him that I will be home tomorrow when there is still light outside. I can't wait till then.

Top 10 Irritating Things About Me

1) I think I know everything. I mean it is seriously hard to convince me otherwise.
2) I tend to be really bossy..to everyone.
3)I hate to do dishes, yet I hate to have dirty dishes around. (see #2 for how this is handled)
4) I am really really cheap. Sometimes spending money can make me physically ill.
5) When I read I become totally engrossed. You might as well not even try to talk to me, because I am not hearing you, even if I do reply.
6) I am constantly moving. It might be my toes, my whole leg, my hands, or any other part, but some part of me is always in motion.
7) As a result of #6 I tend to make a lot of noise. Examples would be tapping, clicking, scratching, etc. Sadly, I am usually unaware of the sound until it is pointed out to me.
8) I doodle constantly if there is paper in front of me. They aren't good doodles like my Mom's either, they are mess up the page and make it unpleasant to look at doodles.
9) When I am engrossed in a task at hand I talk to myself. Again the noise.
10) And last, but not least, Randy says that my most irritating habit is leaving the light on when I get into bed, even if he is already in bed. Poor Randy.

Sleeping Late

My husband is too good to me. I was so mean talking about his whiny ill self ( although it is true ). Today is his birthday and what did he do? He got up with the kids and let me sleep late. He knew that today was the very last day of my vacation. What an angel of a man. :)
So anyway I am going to do my best to make sure that the rest of his birthday is great. Happy Birthday Randy!

Randy and I on vacation

Aren't we breathtaking? The only pictures that I ever get to be in are the ones I take myself. What is up with that?

This was at Tallulah Gorge in Georgia. It was beautiful. The hike was a bit much for me , I am sad to say, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Today

Today I only left the house once. I went to Wal-Mart to buy groceries. Nothing really exciting happened there. I bought chocolate milk ( among many other things) and my kids all thought I was the greatest mom ever.
Today Randy was feeling kinda down and out. When he doesn't feel good you better get out of the way. He turns into a nasty whiny bitch. He is the worst sick person ever. I am glad he is feeling better though cause I have to say, him sick = me irritated. I know, I should have become a nurse like my daddy and sister, huh?
Today I started reading Harry potter and the Deathly Hallows for the second time. I think I might have missed some things because i read it so fast the first time. And really I will say it again, it rocks.
Today I made stuffed mushrooms. I got the idea from my mom and sister. They have been making them a good bit lately. No, mine were not as good as theirs. yes, there were okay.
Today Princess H took a permanent marker and wrote on her arm. It looked like she was trying to duplicate a tattoo that her Dad has. I was a bit worried that it would be hard to get off, but I got most of it ( there is still a trace :() ) with no trouble.
Today Super Z washed dishes. It was so cute he pulled his chair up to the sink and he washed his little heart out. Sure, there was water everywhere. Sure, I had to rewash them all. But I am proud that he wants to help.
Today I decided to get down on the floor more often to play with the kids. It is great fun. It is one of the things that I am ashamed to say I haven't made time to do lately.
Today I hugged four people.
Today I read a blog by a woman who has very similar interests to mine. She is doing a blogathon. If I had readers I would give her information so that you could go donate. Unfortunately, I am not yet cool enough for readers.
Today I slept late.
Today I took a long bath.
Today was a pretty good day ( yes, it helps that Randy got to feeling better by this evening )

Princess H

This is Princess H. They don't get any cuter do they? I don't know how or why, but overnight my baby is turning into a little girl. She can sing Itsy Bitsy Spider all by herself. Sigh...where does the time go?

Vacation, Rejuvenation

So I am nearing the end of my vacation. We went to Georgia to visit Randy's mom, to Six Flags, to some really cool Water falls, and to Natchez to see my Mom and sister. It was a lot of traveling but it was great. I didn't have to go to work and I got to read the new Harry Potter book. I managed to read it in three nights while vacationing in the day. It was awesome. No spoilers, just know...awesomeness.
So the vacation has rejuvenated me. I am ready to tackle life, clean out closets, and become a more faithful blogger. We'll see how that goes....
I love doing it, so I am going to try to do it for me. I don't get to do a lot of me stuff these days. I am not complaining, I love them stuff too.
