Haiku Friday

Haiku Friday

My sister and I,

We have fought, and laughed, and talked

Almost 30 years.

*

When I think of me

She is somehow always there.

My shadow and friend.

*

The day she was born,

That is my first memory.

The first day of me.

*

She is strength and truth.

She is laughter and sunshine.

She is my sister.

You are so good on posts with your family. I think she's lucky to have a sister who so obviously adores her.

If I were your sister I would be crying about now and running over to hug you. :)

Beautiful Haiku. It sounds lovely to have a sister.
I only have a brother, and thats nice too, but I've always thought a sister would be much closer.

I love you too Serina! And for all those who thought that I should have cried....I did have tears in my eyes...she called and read it to me at work.....at the PERFECT time! Was having a really rough day! I have absolutely NOOOO idea what I would do without you.

Great haiku - although it brought back all my childhood wishes of having a sister. You are both so lucky!
